Ipsy January 2015 Review ~ Fresh Start

This January 2015 Ipsy bag took an incredibly round about route.  It was here in town, then went to Las Vegas for a few days (I wish I went with it!), came back to my state then bounced around a few cities before finally making it here.  Whew!  I was expecting my address to have been printed wrong or something but nope, it was exactly right.
The theme for the month is “Fresh Start” although rarely do the themes make any sense with what’s in the bag.  I must say, the bag this month is really cute and I’m keeping it for sure.  It’s blue on one side, white on the other, with a reddish pink zipper.  Ipsy also never has an information card which stinks.

The Cost: $10/month.

What You Get: Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products.

There are so many variations between Ipsy bags but I’m always on the hunt for a bag twin.  This month I got one!  She posted on my Instagram.  Hello, box twin! *waves*

Velvet59 Velvet Rose Lip Gloss in Noisette-A nude cocoa. There is a distinctly floral smell to it.  I don’t really enjoy the smell of roses under my nose so this will be re-homed.
Value: $19

Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Brush– Super cute, hot pink brush.  I just got a new set of It Cosmetics brushes so I don’t really need this but I love getting tools in my bags.

Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Ethereal– Pacifica doesn’t get the best reviews for it’s eyeshadows so I think I’ll pass this along.

LA Fresh Eco-Beauty Good Day Day Moisturizer– Ooo! This looks fun!  It’s a moisturizer in a squeeze pack!  I’ve never seen anything like this before.  Ample hydration helps to bring back fresher and happier skin appearance. Made with collagen-producing peptides, super-hydrating hyaluronic acid, natural cucumber, aloe, antioxidant panthenol (vitamin B), vitamin C & E and an anti-aging botanical complex including maqui berry, licorice root, ginkgo biloba leaf, grape seed & hickory bark.

Coastal Scents Liquid Eyeliner in Jet– Provide a bold stream of color instantly to your eyes with Liquid Eyeliners. Available in five highly-pigmented colors, these stay-put liners glide-on with ease and will not smudge, smear, or fade away. Each eyeliner is equipped with a pointed felt-tip brush for precise lining.
Value: $2.95

VERDICT: Ipsy is always worth the ten dollars.  I don’t always use everything, though.  They send a lot more makeup than I can realistically ever use.  I’m considering cancelling just because of that.
This bag has a really nice assortment of items.  It’s like a full face bag.  Moisturizer, eyeshadow and brush, eye liner and a lipgloss.  Pretty sweet bag, really.  But because I get a lot of boxes, I tend to have too much stuff.  That’s the only reason I might cancel.  I feel like I shouldn’t because it’s only ten bucks.  We’ll see what I end up doing.

If you would like to sign up for Ipsy, you can do that right here.  They do have a wait list and it may take a month or two to get off.  It’s better to sign up as soon as you can and then make the firm decision when you get the email saying you’ve been accepted.
