Scentbird is a unique perfume subscription. Each month you will receive a 30 day supply of the perfume of your choice. It’s an 8ml purse spray that twists open and closed. No worrying about caps or lids flying off and disappearing under the car seat or in the depths of your bag.
It’s also a perfect size and will fit in any handbag and nearly any clutch. If your phone fits, this will fit. If your phone doesn’t fit, this will probably still fit. Haha! I’ve toted mine around in an envelope clutch with zero issues.
The Cost: $14.95/month
What You Get: Each month you will receive one 8ml purse spray of the scent of your choice based on your profile. The first month, you will receive the case for the perfume and a carrysack for it.
Scentbird has catalogue of over 350 luxury perfumes. Anything from Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs and Dior to Thierry Mugler, Versace and Burberry. When you sign up you will take a short survey and then you will be matched with perfumes that have the qualities you designated in your answers. You can take the survey as many times as you want, with as many different answers and each time you will be provided with a page of perfumes that fit what you’re looking for.
Here’s what I got when I searched for Fruity, Sexy Date Night perfumes (there was a long page but this is only 8):
You can Add each perfume you like or want to try to your queue. Each month the first perfume in you queue will be sent to you. You can arrange and rearrange your queue as much as you like. Just make sure you have it set the way you want on the 5th. That’s when your perfume is packaged up and sent to you.
If you do not have a perfume in your queue, you will be sent the perfume of the month. March’s Perfume of the Month is Anna Sui “La Vie De Boheme.” I decided to try it and I’m glad I did. It’s a floral – fruity scent with a woody background. The top notes are Turkish rose, sparkling pear, berries and pitahaya. The heart is peony and the base notes are dry woods, sandalwood, musk and black vanilla.
It doesn’t last a long time but that’s perfect for me because I don’t like to smell my own perfume contantly. I like to just get a whiff here and there. I’m not a douser. I will never make the entire office privvy to my perfume of the day. Which is another reason Scentbird is perfect for me. I don’t go through perfume very fast so buying an entire bottle tends to be a waste and just sit around. With Scentbird, I might actually get to the bottom of a bottle!
Your first box will arrive with a sleek black twist up perfume case and a faux velvety drawstring cover. Subsequent months, you will just be sent the inner glass bottle in a box. The glass inner bottles are very easy to switch out. Twist the plastic container to reveal the sprayer, pull on the sprayer head and remove it from the case. Plop in your next perfume and twist down. Done!
Guess what?! Here’s the new best thing ever! Scentbird is introducing a PINK case! And the option to add a second (or third or fourth) case to your monthly delivery. I think this is a great idea and one I’ve been hoping for. And I *definitely* want pink. I think it’s going to be a hot pink like my bag in the photo at the top of this post. I inquired about pricing and they said it might be $9 but they haven’t finalized costs yet so they’re not sure. I was hoping for less that that. I think $7 or less would be really reasonable.
If you’d like to sign up for Scentbird, you can do that right here! Make sure you use code B&B25 and get 25% off your first month! Code valid until March 31st.
