Glossybox June 2015 Beauty Box Subscription Review and Coupon Code

The June 2015 Glossybox is so much earlier than I was expecting. I’m very happy with the shipping these days. This box has a couple variations so if your box is still on the way, be prepared. Although I think all the variations are quite good.

One thing I love about Glossybox is their presentation. Their boxes are pretty and pink. When you open it up, you feel like you’re getting a present. I always feel bad about recycling them but I’d have way too many if I kept them all. I do keep the special edition boxes, though.
Each Glossybox comes with a fold out information card that explains what you’ve received with some tips thrown in.

The Cost: $21/month.

What You Get: Five luxury deluxe sized beauty essentials, from both well-known and emerging brands, delivered to your door each month.

City Cosmetics City Lips in Clear– This is billed as being a Lip Plumping Treatment. Which is because it’s a moisturizer. Hydrated lips are plumper than chapped, dry ones. It is suggested to use this at night so your lips can soak it all in. I have to say that it tastes weird but other than that, it’s a nice gloss. I’ll try it at night and see if I wake up with Kim K lips…
Value: $35

Orly Nail Lacquer in Oh, Cabana Boy– This is a mini and it’s totally cute. It’s a shimmery neon pink so I think it’ll be toes only. It’s easy to use and definitely needs at least two coats. I like it a lot!
Value: $4

Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara– This is a buildable mascara with collagen. It has an hourglass shaped brush which they say will help volumize and lift your lashes. Well, it’s mascara not magic! It probably works as well as any other (boy, am I cynical today or what?!). I think it makes my eyelashes a little too spidery and clumpy. That could be because my tube felt a little dry.
Value: $10

Etre Belle Cosmetics Aloe Vera Moisturizing Gel– Aloe isn’t just for summer or sunburns! It’s for everyday. It’s an ingredient I love to see in my skincare because of it’s anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. This is an oil free moisturizer with glycerin, aloe and hyaluronic acid. The info card says this is skin plumping and the truth is that it’s because it’s a moisturizer. Good moisturizers should moisturize. 😛 I’ll definitely use this.

The Aloe Source Jojoba Radiance Cleansing Polish– This is a sulfate-free cleanser with microbeads, aloe and AHA/BHA. I’m excited to use this because the ingredients look good and I like aloe in my skincare.
Value: $5

VERDICT: I liked this Glossybox because the two skincare items are good with ingredients that I like.  There is a great variety, something that makeup lovers and skincare adorers (like me) can be glad about. I always take the surveys and say that I like getting both. It’s funny because this box seems kinda blah but I’m using everything from it so it’s actually a box I can enjoy. Brains are weird.

If you would like to sign up for Glossybox, you can do that here. Use code COSMO to get 20% off your first box. If that doesn’t work you can also use MAYPOWDER to get a free full size Ardency Inn Modster Light Catching Eye Powder added to your box.

If you use Ebates make sure you activate it because you can save an additional $2.75.
