Bonjour Jolie December 2015 Time of the Month Subscription Box Review and Coupon Code

Bonjour Jolie is a subscription that sends everything you need to make it through “that time of the month.” It’s one of the few subscriptions of it’s kind that sends full boxes rather than unboxed, individual items. This is the main reason I subscribed.

They do try to send it to you either in the beginning of the month or the end but really, at least for me, it doesn’t matter when it arrives as long as it does. I’ve seen some complaints for similar boxes saying that they didn’t arrive “on time.” But most cycles are 19 days so if you say you want it at the end of the month, eventually the box arrival is not going to sync with your period. Just keep that in mind and don’t expect the process to be exact.

The Cost: $16/month plus shipping. ($5.75 US, more for worldwide)

What You Get: You can select a mix of products up to 25 items OR a full box of one product (your choice from a list). Each box will also contain a hand chosen gift, specialty bath and body products, sweets like chocolate, teas and/or drinks, feminine wipes and Advil.
Kotex U Liners- I asked for a full box of product and chose this from the list of what was available. I was happy to see that they were even individually wrapped. If you choose a mix and match amount, you will get more (25 items) instead of however many are in the box. So I think the best use of my money would go toward just requesting loose product. When they’re individually wrapped like this, I’m okay with it. The mix and match is the real money saver because instead of having to buy two full boxes of whatever two products (or three you want) you just get exactly what you need/want.

Next up! Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths, Crystal Collagen Gold Powder Eye Masks and Advil! I don’t really need Advil since I already have lots but it’s a good addition. The eye masks are totally getting used.
Hot Chocolate!! Lots of it!! Yessss! I love the Nestle Abuelita hot chocolate, too. It’s better handmade from the rounds but only because the packet is a little sweet. That’s easily fixed by adding coffee instead of plain water.
Value: $2
Sweets and snacks! Lindt truffles, Ghirardelli Squares and Walker’s Shortbread! The best part? All the chocolate is dark. Because that’s what I chose when I signed up. I love that!
Value: $2
I love these Apple Crisps and the Fuji Apple with Cinnamon are my favorites. I like how they snuck a healthy snack in. Mainly because it’s delicious.

This is a tea light holder shaped like a bell and covered in sparkly sparkles. It’s silly and cute at the same time and came with a candle. And yes, I put it out. I always need more Christmas decorations!
Value: $6
This is the specialty item. I think they include jewelry fairly regularly. This is costume jewelry that’s 18k gold plated with a Swarovski crystal pendant. It’s dainty and cute. I’m not sure if I’d wear it but we’ll see. It might come in handy someday.
Value: $20

VERDICT: I’ve really enjoyed getting these types of boxes previously, though Bonjour Jolie is new to me. So far I like it and think it may be the best. I’ve got a few more months coming that will help me cement my opinion. It’s definitely best for those who like to get a mixture of product (or at least someone who doesn’t only want liners) but it was also fun to open the box.
I do think this would be a wonderful thing to get as a preteen girl who was just starting (and they do have a “Starter Pack” type thing for that occasion). Although I remember being super excited about it back in the day, that feeling quickly changed. Very quickly. Haha! It was like “Yessss, I’m a real girl” to “I have to deal with this for the rest of my life?!?!!? Nooooooooo!”

If you would like to sign up for Bonjour Jolie, you can do that here. They do have a questionnaire to fill out that asks about allergies and other preferences. Use code BITSANDBOXES to get $2 off your first box!

Do you get a box like this? Have you tried more than one? I’m curious to know which one everyone likes best and why.
