Since this is a quarterly box, it does have a seasonal type theme. This Summer box is all about vibrant colors and hot weather essentials. I’m pretty happy with what arrived. I was a little unsure about the jewelry piece but it’s far better than I was expecting.
The Cost: $100/quarterly
What You Get: At least five products worth over $300 in fashion, beauty and lifestyle carefully curated by Rachel Zoe and her team.
Luv AJ Pave Tusk Lariat Necklace– This is a very gold gold. If that makes any sense. One of my favorite things about this necklace is the bright gold and the bar chain.
So much more fun than a regular link chain. This is an exclusive item and I can’t find it anywhere but similar items are gold-plated brass with Swarovski crystals.
I basically love everything about it!
Luv AJ Open Crescent Ring– The necklace and this ring are a matching set, exclusive to Box of Style. I love this even more than I love the necklace.
It’s adjustable (within reason) with just a little squidge to close it a little it fits my ring finger perfectly. My guess is that it arrives as a 6.
Set Value: $140
Michael Stars Pastel Gardens Coverup– This is quite roomy but since it’s a caftan, that’s to be expected. It’s also the perfect length for me, just hitting my ankles. It’s so diaphanous, it swirls with the lightest breeze. There’s a tie in the front but it’s basically useless. The neckline is low and totally shows off the LuvAJ lariat.
It’s hard not to love this so I’m going to have to make a way. Being what it is, it’s totally see-through so I’d wear it with a swimsuit.
Rachel Zoe’s tip is to wear it with oversize sunglasses, a wide brim hat and red nail polish.
Value: $58
YHF Los Angeles Cashton Brown Sunglasses– At first I thought these might end up looking weird on me but they don’t. They’re actually fabulous. I’m LOVING the fact that this box is practically a complete outfit, too.
Value: $40
Ouai Wave Spray– I’m just starting to love the whole “beach hair” spritz type products. This is something you spray from roots to ends then scrunch for waves. Or you can put it in damp hair, twist your hair into buns while you sleep and wake up with beach waves once you shake it out. Fun!
Value: $12
Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF15 Brightening Moisturizer– This is the only thing I was kind of “meh” about. Juice Beauty doesn’t have the best track record with me since so many products have lackluster ingredients. With this particular one, I was happy to see 14% zinc oxide as the SPF. That in itself makes this worth using. And while the apple and grape juices are useless, I always love seeing aloe in the top ingredients. It also has coconut oil in it so be aware if you’re putting it on your face. So in the case of this product, I would use it as a body sunscreen.
Value: $38
Dreamdry Turban– This is a super absorbent towel that is supposed to help dry your hair without frizzing. Sounds good to me! I’ll use it. I’ll even take it camping with me because why not?! It’ll be nice for after freezing cold camp showers.
Value: $30
VERDICT: Love! I will be using everything in this box which makes it ultimately amazing. It doesn’t happen often. I also feel like they’re listening to the feedback, too, including more fashion and less beauty. It’s definitely worth my $100 and I’ve already subscribed for another year.
